What do I see? Is it red? Is it blue? Is it green? Is it something in-between?

The interpretation of what we see, happens in the mind. The eye is a pinhole being bombarded with light waves and particles. The true color of an object is not the color that you see, but what you think it is. The video installation “Is it red” is about the visual perception of the human eye and the trickery, what is possible to create with light and color. The aim is to heighten the perceptional awareness of the viewer by exploring the concept through the usage of colored light and reflection of it from monochromatic backgrounds. The viewer’s eye is led by real-time algorithmical color changes created by code, which creates a landscape of ever-changing patterns.
